Humor me again: waves of high humidity

for the past 2 summers I've noticed that real high humidity seems to come in waves.

it's rather strange in that you are going along with the regular humidity and sudden the humidity becomes real oppressive, like right before a storm, but there is no storm in the area. it doesn't last very long and then we are back to the days humidity.

sometimes it happens several times a day/night

today for the first time this summer it happened.

(no it's not me, I'm waaaay past hot flushes)

1. I think maybe
it is a pressure change, not just the humidity. And yes, it would be before a storm. You can almost FEEL it building and building and building, very palpable.

And after storms, the air feels so nice and clean, and cooler. Unless the sun comes right out. Then its just muggy, but its different than right before a storm.

I love summer storms. Unless I am hiding in a closet because of them, lol.
