Strike looms large over Israel
Jerusalem - Air traffic at Israel's main international airport was expected to come to a complete standstill Sunday on afternoon on the eve of a planned general strike, while deliveries to petrol stations were also halted.

All flights in and out of Ben Gurion International Airport, near Tel Aviv, were due to be halted for two hours from 14:00 on the orders of the umbrella union movement Histadrut.

Fuel tankers also stopped supplies to petrol stations from 06:00 am on the orders of the Histadrut which has announced a one-day general strike for Monday to protest against the government's recent austerity budget.
