Don't mention the war against stereotypes - Germany
Frankfurt - Hard working, dull and humourless?

Germany, which has been saddled with negative stereotypes since World War Two, is actually hip, hedonistic and laid back, a team of image consultants is trying to persuade Britons.

"We are known for being aggressive, thorough and pushy," said Ulrich Sacker, director of the Goethe Institute in London.

"The media does not show contemporary Germany. History lessons focus on Hitler and few people realise that strong brands like Nivea, Hugo Boss and Puma are actually German."

At least they and their leaders had the courage to stand up for morals and say NO to The Butchers of Baghdad, Junior and his Poodle.

1. After spending 20 years in Germany
in the military and living and working there in a german company I have to say they are not hard working with all the sick leave and vacation time they get, and yes a majority of them are dull and humourless.
