Who are the Lord's Resistance Army?
Gulu, Uganda - The Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), set to be the subject of an inquiry by the International Criminal Court, is a little-known yet extraordinarily brutal rebel movement that has waged a low-level insurgency in northern Uganda for the past 17 years.

The avowed aim of the group, which has its rear bases in southern Sudan, is to set up a regime based on the biblical Ten Commandments.

Yet the LRA seldom attacks any strategic target, preferring nocturnal hit-and-run raids on rural communities, and is known mainly for its brutality towards civilians and for the abduction of 20 000 children over the years.

Didn't the Moral Majority change their name to the Lord's Resistance Army or something like that?

1. Aren't they British agents?
I understand that they are carrying out British aims in the region and are supported by some British rightists. They use their gangs their now that their empire has crumbled.

4. Thanks, that was interesting.
Singularly perverse, and a strong indication of the fictional
nature of central government control in the region. A medieval
mercenary gang with somewhat modern weapons and the usual bizarre
belief system.
