Iraq could consider territorial claims over Jordan and Kuwait
Edited on Sun Feb-22-04 05:56 AM by La_Serpiente
IRAQ SHOCK FOR KUWAIT

Iraq could consider territorial claims over Jordan and Kuwait in the future, the current president of the interim Governing Council said yesterday. "We need our Arab brothers around us. Now, we cannot discuss this matter with them at all, but in the future, we'll see," said Mohsen Abdel Hamid.

Consultative council member Shaza Hadi Al Obeidi had asked him about the status of territories, once linked to Iraq, such as Jordan and Kuwait, at an extraordinary meeting of the 37-member council.

Jordan government spokeswoman Asma Kohdr said Amman would demand an explanation of Abdel Hamid's comments.

1. It's So Transparent
A new Iraqi government controlled by the U.S. will swallow up surrounding nations for its American masters.

2. I have to disagree.
Jordan and Kuwait will never abide this. How could you think so? Please explain your point. The Armed forces can not control Iraq. Further conquests are not possible.

3. Poland didn't abide by Germany's World War II invasion, either.
And why do you say our armed forces don't control Iraq? We may be suffering continuing casualties, but we're still in Iraq, making major decisions for the Iraqis, and there doesn't seem to be much they can do about it.

4. P.S. Don't you think it's kind of odd that the Iraqis are talking about
annexing their neighbors when they've got more serious things to worry about?
