India announces election dates

India is to hold its general election in four rounds over a three-week period starting on 20 April.
Chief election commissioner TS Krishnamurthy announced the dates as 20 April, 26 April, 5 May and 10 May. Counting will take place on 13 May.
He described the poll as historic and unique - all voters in the world's biggest democracy will cast their ballot on electronic voting machines.
Early elections were called by Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.
Correspondents say the prime minister is keen to capitalise on what his coalition sees as key political and economic gains.

1. BJP will win again...
...with the country enjoying good economy, even many muslims will vote for BJP.

However, they will not win the majority, and will have to form a coalition with smaller parties to come to power.
