UNSCAM: The Oil for Food Program
Why isn't there more media uproar over this. The conservative outlets are blaring this scandal from the rooftops and rightfully so. The U.N. is complicit in a program which kept Saddam in power, gave him more financial resources and informants/supporters on the Security Council. Saddam bribed French and Russian officials. It is blatantly obvious that these countries didn't oppose the war for moral or philosophical reasons but because they were recieving large oil contracts from the former dictator. No war for oil? It seems that this cry is true but not in the conventional way: The French and Russians didn't want war to KEEP their oil! Sad to admit but it looks like Bush was right to ignore the U.N. they have lost all credibility with me. And now documents are disappearing:

1. Ah yes
Let's overlook the efforts by Halliburton led by it's CEO Richard Cheney to bypass the embargo to help rebuild some of the infrastructure that kept Saddam in power.

Damned hypocrisy. Henry Hyde's efforts are nothing more than an effort to white-wash over the Bush's continued lack of proof for any of their wishy-washy/flip-flopping claims to attack Iraq. This includes the Al-Qaeda link, the nuclear program, the illegal missile program, and ultimately the generic WMD.

But even humoring the silly claim that France and Russia were avoiding war to maintain their oil contracts. Such a claim still falls flat as the obvious answer is that the US was invading to steal the oil rights for US companies. (Hmm, back to that damned Halliburton link again).

2. a carpetbagger is a carpetbagger is a carpetbagger.
wage peace ---------it's cheaper.

$2/hour x 40hours/week x 50weeks/year x 23,000,000 iraqis = $92 billion/year. i dare anyone to tell me the optional war is not costing more.

put the cash in each individual's hand. hire them all. give them a job. then they can get married. then they can get laid. then maybe they will calm down.

wage peace-------it creates lives.
