Edward's Tragic Great Society - It's President Johnson all over again!
It's President Johnson all over again!

A great uplifting domestic program to create opportunity for all!

But then Johnson went and blew it all by stubbornly sticking with a doomed foreign policy in Vietnam.

How can intelligent men of Kerry and Edward's generation make the same mistake all over again?

College students are right now organizing to oppose, resist and disobey a Draft that continuing the occupation of Iraq will soon require.

The elitist corporate perspective is that "we cannot fail"--because there's so much oil around there, of course.

But the American people will not pay that price in blood for oil. American's don't have any heart for sustained military imperialism, once they figure out what the deal really is.

John Kerry went from serving in Vietnam to being a leader in the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. He LEARNED FROM EXPERIENCE.

He better be able to learn again.

2. do you speak with him?
thakyou for getting this valuable information..I am not trying to be a jerk to you but...YEAH RIGHT! How many times before have "liberals" sold out the American peopl? Politics in this country are owned lock stock and barrel by corporations and the ruling class rich...I am a socialist and I have seen the Democrats sell us down the river just as much as Republicans. I am not saying there are not good Democrats and I do vote Democrat, however I think until the people through their government, own the means of production such as our energy companies...these wars over resources will only get worse.

6. wow, grow up
If you read my post, you would see I DO vote Democrat, in fact I am actively campaigning for one right now. Apparently I should just let you worship at the feet of your god John Kerry rather than have a political discussion.

7. The Longer we are there, the more anti-American feeling will be stirred up

And ultimately, Middle Eastern governments which are considered to pro-American by their own people will be overthrown. Saudi Arabia and Egypt, for example.

So that could end up being bigger than Vietnam. But young people just won't go to die for that oil. There has already been legislation introduced in Congress to draft EVERY 18 year old. That scares the hell out of young people who here about it and incites instant rebellion.

Why do you think Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" is having such a deep impact on it's youngest viewers?

I've talked to a number of these kids, and they're a lot more sure that Michael Moore cares about them than they are that Bush or Kerry do.
