New Zealand November Job Advertisements Rise, ANZ Bank Says
Dec. 10 (Bloomberg) -- New Zealand job advertisements rose for a fifth month in November, signaling an employment boom that has pushed the jobless rate to an 18-year low may not slow anytime soon.

The number of job advertisements in newspapers and on the Internet increased 1 percent to 49,942 from 49,441 in October, according to an Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. report released today in Wellington. From a year earlier, advertisements rose 17.1 percent.

New Zealand's unemployment rate fell to 3.8 percent in the third quarter as companies hired 19,000 more people, according to a government report last month. Central bank Governor Alan Bollard yesterday said rising wage and salary pressures are a risk to inflation given the shortage of workers.
