Kucinich is the ONLY candidate to cosponsor an assault weapons ban
He has formally endorsed HR 2038.

Neither Graham, Gephardt, Kerry or Edwards have come out to endorse a specific bill.

2. Dean has supported the current law
Edited on Mon Oct-06-03 12:16 AM by Thelakedoctor
He came out forcefully for it back in May.

3. I'm told a ban like this
would affect some kinds of typically used hunting rifles. I don't know much about gun laws or types of guns that fall under the heading "assault weapons" but I would be inclined to disagree with interfering with the rights of hunters.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

4. No bolt action rifles will be affected
and hunters nowawdays use long range bolt guns for most hunting. If they are not allowed to they can use bows or muzzleloaders.

5. Oh so you support the ownership of sniper weapons?
Wonder if Dennis also supports the ownership of sniper weapons, or if he also supports their banning...

6. I would ban them
Yes SWAT teams use virtually the same weapons for 200 yard head shots on criminals.

Maybe single shot rifles and short range lever guns are OK.

8. And I was called an idiot when I stated
the other day next will be the scoped (sniper) hunting rifles.

7. I can't agree with everybody all of the time
I agree with him about 90% of the time. I agree with another candidate's platform about 95% of the time but what it boils down to is that I feel that the other candidate is slimy and I feel that Kucinich is a lot more trustworthy.
I agree with Feingold 65% of the time and even with that I will vote for him if he were to run for President without so much as a hint of hesitation.
