"I like mah guns. Guns is good. Fast ones, big ones. Guns is good. Thah constipation says we can has all the guns we wants. I like them automatical ones. They good for huntin' squirrely things what run fast. Not much meat left, but it makes some fine stew, if ya don't scoop the bottom - that's kinda full ah metal. Guns is good."
I think that's the latest version available online.
BTW: I own guns. The NRA has deviated drastically.

1. IMO the NRA has become another self promoting organization |
|
that doesn't resemble the true idea of why it was formed. I feel the same way towards Greenpeace and PETA.

2. Those three all have something in common... |
|
They've all become defined by being the polar opposite of the organizations they usually go against, to the point where it's more about hyperbole and winning than actually getting anything done.

3. Not to mention being attention and fundraising whores... |

...whose alleged purpose is better served by other organizations- Second Amendment Foundation and Gun Owners of America, in the case of the NRA.
That's the NRA-ILC. The gun safety and education part I have no problem with.
No wonder the NRA was initially opposed to Heller. It wasn't *theirs*, even though it defended the principles they claim to uphold.

4. Who, exactly, are you talking about... |
|
since the NRA has supported tight controls on all automatic weapons for the last 75 years?
You don't think the "assault weapon" fraud is about automatic weapons, do you?

6. Shhh, don't upset them! |
|
You know how cranky some people can get when you point out that what they "know" are the NRA's positions on issues aren't really the NRA's views at all.
Bearer of bad tidings and all that...

I hate guns. All guns are bad and should only be used by military, police, and my body guard. The peasants have no business with guns. If they are living in a high crime area, they should just move. The peasants only kill their families with guns anyway. Guns make the peasants kill their wives and children and go into malls to commit mass shootings. The former isn't really a draw back as we really don't need any more serfs anyway, but what happens if I happen to be driving by their house in my Escalade and catch some stray rounds? The 2nd Amendment only protects muskets. Peasants do not need a gun that will shoot more than one round for hunting. Allowing the peasants to carry guns in public? Preposterous! That will only result in crossfire, road rage, wild west shootouts with blood running in the streets. We need to repeal the antiquated 2nd Amendment. The metal penises must be confiscated NOW!
