The BEST gun control poll I've seen

The best gun poll I've ever seen is here: www.TheGunPoll.com

You can sort by category (men vs women vs by age) to see what opinions on guns are. You can even search by men age 60 vs women under age 20. pretty interesting results and worth checking out

4. The results are slightly skewed
by the number of respondents. 120 women, 1200 men. Also 46% of the women are city dwellers, only 26% of males are, while 17% of the women are rural and 25% of males are rural.

5. Well if you are up for the statistics problem
Since they give you the sub pop data you could take sub-pop results and align them w/ sub-pop makeup of the united states and get a non-skewed national number.

10. "Slightly skewed"? You're very generous.
Given that the overwhelming majority of respondents are males who own multiple guns and have never known anyone who was injured by a gun, I'd say it was so extremely skewed as to be no more insightful than any other gun nut propaganda.

Please note as well that this poll has been broadcast to the hardcore right-wing gun wackos at places like AR15.com, you know, the gun nuts who claim that Obama is a communist and destroying the American way of life, evil Satan-worshipping liberals are taking over the planet, the usual rubbish. They posted a call to arms to their members to hit this poll hard. Interestingly enough, the person who posted the call to arms found the poll right here in the DU Gungeon. Make no mistake, people, there are some loathsome trolls hiding out right here in our midst.

6. The second ammendment gives individuals....
only 3% said no weapon at all.

The question said to mark all that apply.
The 2nd ammendment doesn't require you to own a weapon so "no weapon at all" is a valid choice.

Just as long as Congress doesn't try to make it the only valid choice.

7. I would have constructed the question differently.
If you select "no weapons at all" then it doesn't allow you to select any other options. I imagine the rationale is that the 2nd amendment secures the right to own these weapons - it's an individual's decision whether to excercise that right.

It also uses the word "gives" and, well, you know the rest.
