I would appreciate your thoughts on which of these two fine pistols to sell. This will be on consignment at a reputable deal who will do an FBI check before selling.
I have to liquidate some of my firearms because I just bought some expensive telescope eyepieces and have to justify the purchase. Also, I can only shoot one at a time. So, I've got five guns in 9mm Para. caliber. Beretta 92FS Inox, Beretta 90-Two, Beretta Cx4 carbine for 92 magazines, Browning High Power (1978) with custom trigger, Sig Custom Shop 239 SRT SAS (night sights, Crimson Trace).
I'm going to sell the Cx4 for sure. And since the Browning is my current favorite range gun, that's staying. The Sig is staying too for future CCW use. So, now I have one too many Berettas.
The 90Two is presently the next-to-the-bed pistol as it has a lamp and laser sights. It also has a built in recoil buffer, glove-friendly trigger guard, removable front sight. The handle is a bit more ergonomic than the 92. On the down side, the handle is hard plastic and cannot be replaced, atypical recoil spring assembly, few holsters available. If I sell it, the Sig will be the new emergency pistol. It has night sights and a laser, but no lamp. The sights are clear and easy to see. The factory recoil buffer gives it a mild kick.
The 92FS is a typical Beretta 92, except for the silvery color and factory rubber handles. One cannot spit without hitting 92FS parts and accessories. While the handle is a bit wider than the 90Two, it has rubber panels which are a more forgiving and easier to maintain a tight grip. The smallish front sight cannot be changed, but I do have the the LPA adjustable rear sight (which makes it a little more consistent than the 90Two). Plus, it is really pretty. I've added a Butler Creek recoil buffer which works, but not as effectively as the 90Two's factory unit.
The trigger on both is about the same with a little edge MAYBE going to the 90Two.
As a side note, I originally bought the 92FS as something to shoot every weekend without beating the crap out of the pricier 90Two I had bought earlier. Since then the used Browning has taken over that function.
