Woman shot in face while driving
A woman was shot in the face while driving on a rural stretch of Interstate 40 on Friday night, Conover police said.

The woman was driving with her son in the car when she was struck, though she couldn't tell officers what came through the driver's side window and hit her, said Sgt. D. Morrow.

She called police, and when officers got there, they were unable to determine what struck her.

She was taken to the hospital, and an X-ray determined she had been shot with a bullet, Morrow said.

1. Maybe if she was a better driver, somebody wouldn't have felt the need to shoot her...
Then again, maybe this isn't the case at all... who knows.

What's your point?

6. Gun owners > Gun victims.
Gungeon mantra.

2. Sounds like a tale Carl Hiassen re-told on a radio talk show...
Speaking of the weird variety of violence that plagued Miami, he recalled a true story of how a private pilot was landing his aircraft in the Metro area for the first time one day, with dreams of a better life, when something struck him in the cheek: it was an errant bullet fired from who-knows-where, which had penetrated the plexiglas as the wheels touched down. Perhaps not a Florida welcome, but maybe a Miami one.

4. It's all her fault.
She wasn't "prepared". She should have had a gun on her. That would have stopped them.

:sarcasm:

5. If everyone drove bullet proof cars. like the rich in Brazil do,
this would not be a problem. An armored citizenry is a safe citizenry. Defend your right to drive armored!
