Child Hit by Stray Bullet

Playtime was interrupted for an 11-year-old D.C. girl Friday night with the graze of a bullet.

The shooting happened at about 9 p.m. in the 4900 block of Meade Street NE.

The girl was playing Wii video games with other children when a bullet whizzed through the home and struck her in the hand, according to the girls grandfather.


The girl was rushed to a local hospital. She is expected to survive.

Please. You must realize by now that current gun laws in most states and localities prevent a child from having a gun.

2. This happened to a kid in New Haven recently.

He was coming out of a store, broad daylight. I don't know if the cops were able to find whoever it was doing the shooting.

of course many will say that the solution is to restrict firearm ownership and limit or ban firearm possession by honest people.

After all that approach has proven to be VERY successful in Washington D.C. and Chicago.
