Police say a man acted in self-defense on Saturday when he shot and killed a Wilmington resident who barged into an Elkton apartment with an alleged accomplice and tried to rob the occupants.

I'd say they didn't case the place very well.

1. Normally not quite so accurate.
"his 20-year-old friend retrieved a semi-automatic handgun in the apartment and fired three shots, all of which struck the armed intruder"

2. I've read somewhere that civilians acting lawfully have a much higher
hit percentage than criminal or police.

3. *Civilians" do a lot more shooting than LEO
The average cop shoots once a year (50 rounds) to qualify. The average shooter can and does shoot thousands of rounds.

4. We're all civilians ...
... unless serving in the military.

Police and private citizens alike must adhere to the same rules.

Sorry. Pet peeve of mine.

Witnesseth:

Emboldened to commit the crime by access to a gun.

~therefore~

A gun as solution to gun story.

Sorry, this is a zero pointer.

8. My scoring system is the touchstone of internal consistency to the argument that
the public needs or should have (or has any right to) guns, (constitutionally or otherwise).

Long live my scoring system.

Unfortunately for the pro-gun argument, few points have been awarded.
