Mayors Launch National Gun Check Awareness Campaign

The organization called Mayors Against Illegal Guns unveiled a new campaign Wednesday featuring a traveling billboard.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg launched the FixGunChecks.org Truck Tour in Times Square.

The truck then made the first stop of its two-month cross-country tour later in the day in Newark, N.J.

The mayors hope the mobile billboard will draw attention to what they say are the problems with the nation's gun background check system.
