Alan Gura on recent Gun Rights Litigation
An excellent video presentation by Alan Gura. He does not have much use for the NRA - as they tried to derail his cases before SCOTUS at every level. Please check it out.

1. "put food on my family"
I hope that was an intentional joke?

2. I'm sure it was.
At least I hope. . . I did enjoy his lecture though. I couched his feelings about the NRA rather well I thought. Incidentally, I canceled my NRA membership over their actions trying to derail Heller. My money now goes to GOA and SAF.

4. I can't watch the video here, but it sounds like a reference to a GWBush mis-speak...

6. That's what I hope.
I'm just worried it might become a common meme for the wrong reason.

3. The NRA was afraid he would lose in court.
The NRA prefers to work with elections and legislators where a defeat isn't so final. Losing before SCOTUS would have been a major disaster. Gura barely won as it was. However, he did win and it was a major victory both times.

5. The NRA loves to meddle.
They've tried to intrude on several AZCDL-sponsored initiatives (like Constitutional Carry) lately and nearly screwed up the bills. If it doesn't have some provision for "licensed CCW holders" they try to derail things.

I swear they must have some way of getting kickbacks based on how many CCWs the state governments issue, because they are against ANYTHING that cuts down on that, including Arizona not requiring people to get a government permission slip to carry.

They won't get a dime of my money, as they don't stand up for any 2A issues I support.
