Illinois House defeats "One Gun a Month" and "Lost or Stolen" bills |
|
Illinois HB 0203 (1 gun a month) failed passage by 68 - 47 and the "Lost or Stolen" Bill HB 1855 failed passage by 66 - 50. The vote totals signify a major decline from prior years when Daley was able to produce more votes. I guess it's harder to make votes magically appear when you don't control the ballot boxes.
A House committee also unanimously passed a resolution calling for an immediate audit of the FOID section of the Illinois State Police by the General Auditor for the state.
I'm confused? The majority in the House here is all Dem, how could this possibly happen?
I've been led to believe that only the GOP (Moran) supports reduced gun laws. Perhaps they just don't know how they are supposed to think and vote yet. The Concealed Carry Bill comes up in about 2 weeks IIRC. It now has the open support of almost all the major police organizations, including the Chicago Police Lieutenants Assoc. That one was a shocker.

If Illinois can't pass worthless violations of the second amendment based on ignorance then I think the anti gun movement is in a lot of trouble
