Good outcome to home invasion......
http://www2.counton2.com/news/2011/apr/13/11/home-invasion-suspect-shot-ar-1711461/

Clifford Ramsey will be in bond court in Berkeley County Thursday to face charges related to a home invasion that ended with a homeowner shooting and killing the second suspect.

Around 8:40 Wednesday morning a man who lives on the 1400 block of Cooper River Blvd says he was shaving when he heard strange noises coming from upstairs.

He thought it might be his son come home from school but looked outside and didn't see his son's car.

The home owner then grabbed his hand gun and was met on the stairwell by 21-year-old Bobby Gadsden Jr. wearing a hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and gloves. Police say he was carrying a rifle or shotgun stolen from the house as well as a bag of ammunition.

The homeowner fired and killed Gadsden with a single gun shot.

4. Yes.
Because in any population, there are a limited number of criminals.
Now, there is one less.

5. Once the home invasion has occurred, the only good outcome is the death of the invader.
If he survives, he's going to do it again, and again, and again. Eventually, he'll kill an innocent in the process. So yes. Hurray for killing home invaders.

3. If our prohibitionists had their way, this tragedy may have ended with innocent deaths.

6. The real pièce de résistance will come when Ramsey finds himself charged
Edited on Sat Apr-16-11 03:01 PM by S_B_Jackson
with involuntary manslaughter for the death of his accomplice, Bobby Gadsden, . At least if the DA's office is serious about fighting crime that is...

7. 21 years old, what a shame.
I hate to see a young man just throw his life away like that. Ramsey survived but he might just as well have suffered the same fate. He'll spend dehumanizing years in prison. He'll never stop serving his sentence because he won't ever be able to get a decent job with this crime on his record.

What could have possessed these two men, to have just walked in to steal with the homeowner there? Meth, I guess.

9. Perhaps
not "THE" solution, but a solution amongst many. Others might include getting stabbed, beaten with baseball bats, or getting mauled by large, aggressive dogs.

14. Do you have another solution you'd prefer? Loud condemnation, perhaps?
This is the dumbest argument I've seen all week.

15. Let me ask you this
Now I know this should never happen because you claim to be totally against civilian firearms ownership so,in theory, you own no guns.

That said, suppose you come face to face w/ an intruder in your home. He's carrying a gun that he stole from you.

Do you know by sight that he hasn't loaded the gun already? Do you know that your not facing an armed intruder in your home? (and BTW you are between said intruder and the way out)

If I find you in my home w/ a gun AFAIC you've crossed the reasonable man threshold and I'm going to shoot.

If you don't want that outcome don't enter my home ans especially don't do so w/ a firearm

13. Not to put too fine a point on it
But if I catch you in my home with a gun all bets are off. Your "warning" will be when I open fire
