2 shot dead outside Arlington day care
2 shot dead outside Arlington day care

ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington police are investigating after they say a man picking up his 3-year-old from day care was shot to death by a man who then killed himself.

Arlington police say the two men were found shot outside the day care Friday at about 5:45 p.m. Police found a man in 20s dead. A man believed to be in his 40s was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police believe the man in his 20s was the shooter and the man in his 40s was picking up his daughter.

1. The antis are dancing in the blood before the IDs are even known.
At this point nothing is known about the motives, criminal history or lack thereof. But the antis are ready to run with it.

3. The OP is an anti. He often posts gun tragedies, never posts anything good about guns.

Given that posting history I consider this OP to be dancing in the blood.

5. Open carry advocates want to "desensitize" the public to guns everywhere all the time
Edited on Sat Apr-23-11 07:13 PM by jpak
They want us to believe carrying weapons at political rallies is "normal" and not intimidation

Unfortunately, there are consequences to the availability of firearms

and some of us will remind you from time to time

yup

13. You seem to be Wa-a-a-a-ay off-topic here.
Note that open carry is currently illegal in Texas, outside of one's personal real estate.

4. I see -- the tradition in this forum is to wait for IDs before exulting in more cool gun violence?

15. Connection between victim and murderer
http://www.star-telegram.com/2011/04/22/3021020/two-killed-outside-private-school.html

ARLINGTON -- The wife of the man fatally shot in front Friday in front of his 3-year-old daughter had been counseling the shooting suspect but had recently referred him to another counselor, Arlington police said Saturday.

Steve McIntosh, described as in his 40s, was shot in a parking lot of the private Country Day School of Arlington, 1105 Randol Mill Road, about 5:45 p.m. Friday. The gunman, described as in his 20s, then fatally shot himself, police said.

McIntosh's wife is a psychological counselor at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Police said they have no evidence that the relationship between her and the gunman was anything other than professional.

19. the murder probably took 1 second. The suicide another. The only way
to combat shit like this is for the nra to stop promoting gun fantacies all day long. A horrible gun crime occurs and the nra types immediately stir the fantacy that something could have been done....if only someone had a gun right there. Of course the average person would like to save the day and the gop has once again turned gun violence into a chance to sell more guns. Same old, same old!!

20. Hey, if the OP wants to use this murder for a political purpose, why not me too?

You really don't know shit about what happened. Sometimes people see the danger coming and sometimes not. Sometimes there is time to act and sometimes not.

I love how you and people like you always assume that being a victim is inevitable. So fucking pathetic.

21. pushing the fantasy ... one more time... in case someone missed the
wonderful rescue mission that this gun crime should be turned into....because leaving the reality that a father was murdered and is now dead forever is just not allowed.

22. keep your head buried in the sand if you wish, but people are defending themselves like it or not.

If you and the op want to use this victim to push your agenda so be it. But don't act indignant when I or some else sees it differently.

...they so chose.
