If it is at all indicative of sentiment in Maryland, I'm encouraged.

Given that the Repugs up in Westminster and the rest of Carroll County have a habit of raising money by raffling handguns, one has to wonder what the statewide sentiment really is...

I like it.
I don't mind a ban on AW's so much. What i do mind is the supposed AW bans that ban no AW's but do ban almost anything with even one AW charachteristic.

6. It all comes back to the question of definition |
|
Since the term AW has only statutory and no technical or practical meaning, legislative bodies can define it any way they want to.

Well stated. Therein lies the rub with bans.

goes way further than the current Federal AW ban. Marketing as a replacement for the Federal ban when it sunsets is misleading.
The MD Senate had a hearing but the sponsor declined to hold a vote since he did not have the votes. Another hearing will come soon.
I expect it will be a close vote. The MD legislature can overturn the Governor's veto easily.
