You are indeed at Democratic Underground, but you have inadvertently wandered into the Guns forum.
I hope you made you way back safely!

5. Stragely enough, the Brady state ratings don't correlate with any actual measurable data |
|
Such as rates of violent crime, or of crimes involving firearms.

8. Well, three of their top four states are also high crime areas... |
|
... but I suspect that's coincidental.

We're trying to pass the gun in cars while at work and the campus carry right now. The car thing looks to pass but the campus carry has hit a snag. We're also working on open carry for those with CHLs too.
Not perfect but we're getting there. . .

19. MA is beyond salvation. |
|
It's highly unlikely things will ever change for the better in this gulag.
2-3 more years until retirement, and I'm outt'a here.
Firearms and political issues aside, AZ is appealing for the weather... NH is appealing for maintaining my New England roots and proximity to family and friends.
Montana, Wyoming... well, they have a certain appeal also.
Bottom line... as long as it's a state that minds it's own fucking business and leaves me the fuck alone.
I could adapt, and hopefully be happier than I am with the current state of affairs.

my state places in the bottom 45 on that list. Just 2 points shy of being where it needs to be.
