Gun Lovers in the News....
Ah, misty water-colored memories....

"Governor Bill Janklow (R) has publicly stated that he will not allow gun control activists to place restrictions on gun shows in his state. Governor Janklow's remarks were made in response to a letter sent to Governors by the anti-gun AGS. The letter asked Governors to support AGS' efforts to pass legislation that would eliminate traditional, American gun shows. The gun owners of South Dakota are fortunate to have such a staunch defender of the Second Amendment as their Governor."

"Good news! Governor Janklow (R) signed HB 1213, the NRA-backed shooting range protection bill, into law this week. "

http://www.nrawinningteam.com/states/sd.html

"Only months before he was elected attorney general in 1974, Janklow famously remarked, "The only way to deal with the Indian problem in South Dakota is to put a gun to the AIM leaders' heads and pull the trigger." "

And the brutal light of today...

"Sexual contact with a child, indecent molestation of a child, rape and manslaughter are among the crimes secretly pardoned by former Gov. Bill Janklow, according to documents released today.
Janklow also secretly pardoned his son-in-law's drunken driving and drug crimes, records show.
One of the most notable names on the list is Jerus Campbell, a former chief legal counsel for Janklow who was in charge of the governor's pardons program.
Campbell, who works for Valley Bank in Sioux Falls, was pardoned for two separate offenses.
Earlier this month, Janklow completed a 100-day jail sentence for second-degree manslaughter in the August traffic death of a Minnesota man. Janklow resigned from the U.S. House in January after the conviction."

5. Say what you mean, mean what you say.
I know you are always skating thin ice with your ad hominems and personal attacks...so I guess it would be rather shocking to you for someone to call it as they see it.

grasping at straws. With nothing else to offer, it indicates a small mind frantically trying to convince others of the righteousness of their position through means of desperation.

"Laugh at them not with them".

10. That photo alone has already lost Kerry several thousand votes.
It would be nice if Kerry had shown up for any other votes this year besides AWB renewal. That way, he might actually have a recent record to campaign on and he could probably draw more gun owners' votes.

11. Who are you trying to kid? All the gun nuts will vote against any Democrat
don't try and feed us any bullsh*t about how "that photo" cost Kerry "thousands" of votes. You must think you are talking to a bunch of malleable children. This isn't an NRA convention, or an unchecked gun nut rant fest. Your lies will be challenged. Face it, gun nuts have no intention of voting for Kerry, not because of any position he has taken, or any photo he has appeared in. The gun nuts will vote against him because he is a Democrat. Gun nuts/Republicans ALWAYS vote against Democrats. Don't try to mislead us as to the reason.

the "reading pleasure" from the gunwanker forums in the "Dilemna" thread to see what a vile bunch of bigoted dittomonkeys make up the bulk of the "gun rights" crowd....

12. Says you...
Of course the people saying they won't vote for Kerry based on thatg photo are the sort of right wing bigoted fuckwits who post that racist gibberish at those ditto-monkey forums.

14. Interesting thought...
...Kerry has no fear of losing any of the states that those three represent. So why give the NRA a new marketing photo?

15. Because the NRA are fuckwits that decent people
regard with revulsion?

Columbine Father Challenges Cheney On Assault Weapons
"PITTSBURGH -- A man whose son was killed in the Columbine High School shootings literally walked in his child's shoes to the National Rifle Association convention, where he hoped Vice President Dick Cheney would address the federal assault weapons ban set to expire in September.
Tom Mauser, whose son Daniel was killed with an assault weapon in the Littleton, Colo., killings five years ago Tuesday, said continuing the ban is common sense.
Assault weapons "are the weapons of gangs, drug lords and sick people," Mauser said before his three-block march to the convention, which runs through Sunday. "It is a weapon of war and we don't want this war on our streets."
Mauser entered the convention hall where the NRA was meeting, but was turned away by a security guard as several conventioneers applauded. A couple of conventioneers yelled "Get a life" and "Vote for Bush." "

8. I say it clear as I need to....
which is why you RKBAers are always snivelling.

And yeah, Janklow is a sterling example of the sort of scumbag politican pushing gun rights...and none of his open followers are in any doubt what he means when he uses the term.
