What do you plan on buying?
Myself, a few 15 round mags for my Beretta 92FS. A six-position collapsible stock, threaded 16" barrel and Phantom flash suppressor for my M4 project. About a dozen 30 round AR-15 "banana clips".:+ Maybe a couple of stripped lower receivers to tuck away for a rainy day.

Legal is good. Lately, I've been buying my hi-caps from some mullet-head dealing from the trunk of his 1968 Dodge Charger with Georgia license plates.
The prices are good, but I'm not certain if the savings are worth the incontinence I feel every time I hear sirens in the distance.

do the magazines have a date stamped on them? If not, they're legal under Federal law. And there are no federal laws about selling just magazines out of the back of your car...Your state's laws may differ, but federally it's OK.

Not all of us are fortunate to have a safeload of "pre-bans" and need to plan ahead for this stuff. :(

6. Stick a bayonet mount on my ak-47 |
|
Just to make it original.
Also remove the spot weld that keep the threads on the barrel from being exposed. Proably stick a flash supressor on it.
Other than that..nutin much.

Where to begin?
Two new 13-rounders for my Glock 21. Two new 15 rounders for my Glock 23. But note, the magazine capacities are not part of the AWB...they are covered by the Crime Bill.
A new upper with flash suppressor for my M4 (I have a post-ban). A real Colt factory 4-position stock.
Also, 30-round pre-ban AR-15 magazines are not difficult to find at all. There are literally thousands of the British Royal Ordnance ones floating around for about $20. I have found them to be excellent.

12. This Is Part of the Reason I'm Opposed to Lifting The Ban |
|
So many pro-gunners have said that the ban does nothing, yet in this thread we read about people practically coming in their pants thinking about what they will buy once the ban is lifted.
How sad....

The AWB certainly does "something"...it annoys the hell out of law-abiding gun owners who happen to like those particular features.

they'll be able to buy. I'm not interested in any of that pansy machine gun stuff though. I'm going to buy a bazooka and possibly a suitcase nuke when the AWB expires.
Really, would actually reading the AWB before you decide you support it be too much to ask?

Remember not everything is so black and white and there are lots of different colors to the rainbow. I am not a fan of the NRA either, but as I've demonstrated, there do exist common threads that bind us all.

ALL of these items are currently available, but because the new manufacture of them is "banned" for law abiding citizens, we pay $80 for a magazine that would otherwise cost $20.

I bought all of the "banned" item I wanted before the ban went into effect.
The only thing I plan to do is put a full-featured upper receiver assembly, which I already have, onto a presently "post-ban" AR-15. The swap will take about 15 seconds and requires no tools.

28. A big box of duct tape. |
|
To shut all the whiners up.
Then a boat load of OEM magazines. They're not high capacity. They're OEM as the manufacturers designed them. (How would you like a 10 gallon gas tank on your car?)
Silly: 25 and 30 rounders for my Ruger 10/22
Fully loaded H-Bar Bushmaster target rifle.
15 rounders for my 92FS (OEM)
13 rounders for my 229 (OEM)
Sig 220 (new)

33. You make a good point |
|
About the AWB being like limiting cars to only 120 horsepower and 8 gallon gas tanks. Sure, that would help the cops catch the bad guys easier, but at what cost and practical benefit?
And when such a nonsense ban would be lifted (like the AWB), of course fans of the stuff will run out and buy it again. Why this scares some people, I have no idea. Thankfully the fear they push isn't getting anywhere anymore.

38. Magazines, adjustable stock, flash suppressor |
|
I'll buy full-capacity magazines for my Glocks, particularly my G23. I'll buy other new magazines too, depending on what the market comes up with for my various firearms.
I'll buy an adjustable stock for my AR-15, so my wife can comfortably shoot it. I also want a new AR-15, a new upper, or a pin-on flash suppressor of some sort, just because I can. A new AR or a new upper with a flash suppressor and a bayonet lug would be even better. Just because.
