A little clarification

The entire purpose of it was simply to point out that there is no need to give anything away to the opposition. Posed or not; unfortunate composition or not; poor control by the media relations folks on the campaign staff or not; the pictures posted in the thread give pause to anyone who sees them without examining them closely. Even upon close examination, Sn. Kerry appears to be practicing unsafe firearms handling practices.

Why give the opposition the least inkling of an opening for an attack. There will be plenty of attacks manufactured without basis or cause.

Now. Go right ahead and flame me for attempting to point out within the "family" as it were that attentention to detail is enormously important in all matters concerning this campaign. For those of you who felt that I was slamming Sen. Kerry: I'm sorry that you missed the old and accepted tactics of using irony and satireto make a positive point.

Now. Let's all go ahead and flame each other until we're blue in the face instead of working toward our goal in November.

on edit: Hereafter, I'll be posting any thought clearly without the use of irony, satire, metaphor, or other "angles" to avoid confusion.

Had I been attempting to derail any part of Sen. Kerry's campaign; it's a simple matter to register at Free Republic and post there as if I were one of them. I did notice that both photos showed up on littlegreenfootballs. I troll there occasionally as well.

That's their job: to do their dead level best to keep such poorly composed photos from being published.

on edit: I agree. The media is being the media in running that photo. I don't believe that the media is especially right or left. They'll run anything that makes anyone look bad - particularly if they think it'll raise some hackles - IMHO.
