2. Banks are Robbed All The Time
Even though there are laws against it.

Using the typical pro-gun "logic", should we repeal the laws against bank robbery?

4. And they seem (to me) to be robbed more often
around here if they are posted. 5/3 Bank is the only bank in the area to post.

7. Evidently we're supposed to let
neurotics mill about with guns in the lobbies...

Now, why wouldn't a bank, or it's depositors, want armed loonies clogging the premises? Can anyone guess?

3. Maybe the robber couldn't read the signs
A lot of career criminals are illiterate or have uncorrected vision problems.

Get all the criminals' eyes checked and teach them to read, and this problem will surely go away.

:dunce:

Had somebody had a gun, would it have been wise to get involved.

8. That Seems to be the Pro-Gunner Fantasy
That someone with a gun would be able to prevent each and every crime. You'd stand a better chance of hearing Ted Nugent saying something intelligent.

9. You'll notice the entrire case for concelaed carry
is based on the sort of idiotic and pathetic fantasies that used to make up men's adventure magazines in the 50's and 60s...

Or on John Lott's phony research

15. Depends on the situation.
I personally will not get involved unless the criminal aims the gun at an innocent or makes remarks or actions so as to seem to be about to actually use the gun on an innocent.

17. Not a bad answer.
But. Most likely the first thing their going to do is point that weapon at someone. Are you going to get in a shootout in the middle of a crowded bank just because he pointed a weapon at someone?

20. I can not give a definative answer to cover all eventualities.
Each time would have a different set of circumstances. I would have to evaluate the circumstances as they happened. What type of crowd, accomplices, likelihood of a quick police response, actions of the criminal, too many factors to give you a set answer.

Yep.
Enough factors to give a person a headache. But a least you recognize the factors, and the consequences.

18. "Depends" May Be The Operative Word...
Because I'm sure that if faced with such a situation, many people would simply piss their pants.

Scott Thomas is a bank manager and a friend of mine. He has been robbed twice. None of the times did anybody lose control of bodily funtions.

11. Ironically. The first thing the bank does is call a man with a gun
After being held up.

Assuming of course they don't kill the bank employees.

22. It depends...
My response would vary from doing nothing and handing over my money, to shooting the perpetrator.

But one thing is for sure, if I were in the bank when that happenes, I would have OPTIONS, that the zealots try to deny me.

13. Even more ironically, the man they call
isn't just some numbnutz who wanders in off the street....nor do they dial numbers at random hoping to find some citizen with a pistol permit.

I think they call somebody in a unique profession....

This has no bearing on law abiding gun owners.
