Bounty Hunters- end them. |
|
On the national news, a guy wanted for northing more than
credit card fraud
had bounty hunters enter his home { breaking in?} and he shot to defend himself... hitting his dad by error.
This is palpable nonsense.
End all bounty hunting.

2. Bounty hunters perform an important function |
|
They can go places and do things that no police agency can.

A bounty hunter most of whom now prefer to be called. bail recovery agents. DO NOT arrest people of credit card fraud. The only time a bounty hunter go after someone is when they fail to appear for court and their bond or bail is revoked by the court. I have done this kind of work in the past. You have old family member that puts up their home as bond for a grandchild who has been arrested and the that child does not show up for court. The court will/can order the bail forfeit and the family member could lose their home. On the other hand the family member can hire a bail recovery agent to locate and bring that person to the court. The bounty hunter's authority is from an old Supreme Court decision which stated that a bail recovery agent can go anywhere to arrest the person on bond who violates that bond.
