Welcome to the gungeon, we've got fun and games |

The original thread title while this was in GD was "Guess what? DU has a forum for gun related discussions, and this isn't it", but that's a pretty silly thread title to use in the gun discussion forum now, isn't it?

1. It's not simply about gun rights and gun control |
|
it's also about whether or not the Democratic Party should end it's support for gun control

3. Yeah, it's good that you're telling us. BUT... |
|
There is occasion to post things that might fit better in other forums, in GD. Especially if there's enough interest to sustain a handful of threads.
As long as it doesn't become a habit.

Or perhaps: "There, there.". (Or now: "Here, here.".)
(I see that the issue is resolved -- both posts are moved. -- Good!)
And, perhaps, the political issue to consider is whether Democrats should rethink their position on further federal level gun controls. (This is rather different than "gun controls"-"no gun controls".) Or we can continue on with a large portion of this country associating "Democrat" with "anti-gun", (even when this is not the case), hoping somehow to "enlighten" these "misinformed" people -- or not giving a damn about the votes of many people for whom this is the issue.
Collapsing complicated policy issues down into simple yes-no choices is playing right into the trap (of dumbed down discussion and a false framework for that discussion -- a framework that "frames" the issues the neocon way, or to their benefit) laid by the neocons over decades.
