Hamas urges attacks on U.S. targets
Hamas' military wing called Wednesday on Muslims around the world to attack American targets following reports that an Israeli tank strike killed 18 people in the Gaza Strip.

"America is offering political, financial and logistic cover for the Zionist occupation crimes, and it is responsible for the Beit Hanoun massacre.

Therefore, the people and the nation all over the globe are required to teach the American enemy tough lessons," Hamas said in a statement sent to The Associated Press.

3. Israeli tank shells 'kill 18 Palestinians in sleep'
"Israeli tank shells killed at least 18 people in their sleep when they landed in Gaza early today, witnesses report. Eight children were said to be among the dead.

Khaled Radi, a health ministry official, said of the 18 dead, 13 were from the same family. He said at least 40 more were wounded, all civilians after the attack on a residential neighbourhood north of Beit Hanoun.

Palestinian hospital officials said there were several more injured. According to witnesses, all those killed were women and children.

Four hospitals are treating the wounded across Gaza.

Palestinian security officials said that five tank shells landed in the area within 15 minutes. Most the casualties were caused to a row of homes belonging to members of one family."

7. Absolutely. Israel needs to play nice with her neighbors and quit acting like a gorilla
Or I am ok with cutting them off and seeing how well they do on their own.

Our friendship with them is costing us billions, lives, and reputation. It yields us NOTHING.

We need to seriously reconsider our support of Israel. It has been nothing but an aggrevating factor in the region, angering Arab countries while emboldening and funding a vengeful Israeli army while they take Palestinian land and water.

16. Why?
Because if things like that we posted, then things like this might get posted and make the fake liberal warmongers uncomfortable...like this from Monday

Minister issues call for an Arab-free Israel

AVIGDOR Lieberman, the ultra-nationalist who took up a senior post in the Israeli cabinet last week, yesterday called for Israel to become "as much as possible" an all-Jewish country without an Arab minority.

The remarks came as an embarrassment to Ehud Olmert, the prime minister, and the Labour party, the junior partner in the governing coalition, which had insisted last week that Mr Lieberman had accepted coalition guidelines pledging equality between Arab and Jewish citizens and the combating of racism.

...

However, Mr Lieberman, a deputy premier who is also minister for strategic affairs, ignored the prime minister's clarification and restated his idea during an interview yesterday with Army Radio. "Anywhere in the world where there are two peoples and two religions there is conflict," Mr Lieberman said. "What we have seen in Cyprus is that since they have that model, there is no terror. There is security."

Scotsman

You see what the problem would be if people simply perusing LBN headlines, would see a headline like that and be much more likely to want to read THAT, because most people, especially in the US, are favourably inclined towards supporting Israel, but completely obvious to what has happened to it's politics in the last ten years. Too many 'liberals' are under the impression there is 'some' opposition or 'some' peace groups in Israel. It might disturb them to think that maybe Israel is causing it's own problems, by electing such monsters like Sharon, Lieberman or in the same way that America has been irreparably damaged by the actions of the Bush administration.

But it is increasingly difficult to whitewash the Zionist regime anymore -- especially after Lebanon.

When the guy in charge of security and (quite potentially might engage in the killing of children to restrict breeding, as his views would indicate), then it's pretty hard to 'spin' Israel has being like a western country or even a country we should be doing business with.

It makes the hasbera uncomfortable as well as some live in countries with strong 'hate' laws and most of what 'Our Home Israel Party' tends to talk about would get those outfits in trouble if they reproduced it in their group's literature. Moreover it makes the Israel supporters forces to distance themselves from the man and as such give up the illusion of 'solidarity' among the Jewish people.

You have to be a fanatic racist to support the killing of children while they sleep...just like you have to be a fanatic racist to separate the women from their children as you herd them on to cattle cars.

Israel gets the best press money can buy -- even on left wing American political forums, apparently.

10. HA, the DEMs don't want AIPAC and Abe Foxman of the ADL
up their ass cutting their campaign funding and screeching anti-semitism if they give anything less than blind, unquestioning support to whatever brutality Israel chooses to inflict on the Palestinians.

They dare not speak out.

14. This makes perfect sense.
After all, we were hit by a renegade group in Afghansitan so we attacked Iraq. Personally, I am surprised Israel didn't follow our lead and attach Cyprus or Upper Volta after Hezbollah attacked from Lebanon.
