Italian MEPs campaigning for Israel's inclusion in EU

Italian members of the European Parliament intend to embark on an international campaign to further a proposal to include Israel in the European Union after peace agreements are signed in accordance with international law.

Behind the initiative are the two MEPs of a small party, the Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, one of whom, Marco Cappato, arrived in Israel to further the idea.

I expect we will see much more involvement by the Europeans, now that Uncle Sam has been kicked in the nuts.

2. Turkey and Israel as a combo - all or none - but given the Israel's peace

partner says they want to destroy Israel as a Jewish state - and will only sign the occasional cease fire that they will break as needed, the requirement for Israel should be that they have on offer the Taba agreement, making public and clear the details on the limited right of return they had on offer, plus a return to the limited border adjustments they had on offer, with the Jerusalem split that was on offer, plus water rights, etc including the fly over road between the west bank and Gaza.

One can not expect more than a reasonable serious guaranteed by Israel and the EU and the US offer given that the current Palestinian government is sworn to carry out terrorist activity until Israel as a Jewish state is no more.

Israeli trade with the EU and the US and the rest of the "west" makes them joining the EU a "no brainer" as to the logic. However one wonders if the 30's attitude toward Jews is really decrease in the EU to the point that this could be offered.
