A Point-by-Point Examination of the Document Titled "The 'Hoax' That Wasn't"
Edited on Fri Dec-29-06 01:02 AM by msmcghee
Here's the zombietime response to the HRW report for those following this story.

http://www.zombietime.com/fraud/ambulance/hrw/

On December 19, 2006, the international advocacy organization Human Rights Watch issued a detailed, intensively researched report unequivocally affirming the factuality of an intentional Israeli attack on Red Cross ambulances at Qana on July 23. The report (titled "The 'Hoax' That Wasn't") by Human Rights Watch was created specifically to counter the claims made in my original essay titled "The Red Cross Ambulance Incident."

This commentary is a response to Human Rights Watch's new allegations.

INTRODUCTION

If you are not already familiar with the claims and counter-claims concerning the July 23, 2006 "Red Cross Ambulance Incident" at Qana, Lebanon, then this article will likely make little sense to you. If you have not yet done so, first invest the time to read my original report that started this discussion:

The Red Cross Ambulance Incident, at zombietime.com.

Next, read the entirety of Human Rights Watch's rebuttal of that essay:

The "Hoax" That Wasn't: The July 23 Qana Ambulance Attack, by Human Rights Watch.

The story, in a very small nutshell, is this:

2. "racism"?

there are those who blindly disregard an analysis because they dont like the particular politics, or their skin color or their nationality of those who write it

but its all the same: racism. (racism comes in all forms, but its based in the same character)

the analysis is very good and takes all of HRW three options of various missile hits and shows how the dont even come close to the actual physical damage.

HRW should haved added a fourth possibility: phasers set on stun.

______________________________

there will be those who claim: the victims said, HRW said.....but refuting the lack of physical evidence of the actual missile and its subsequent explosion is simply impossible, even HRW admits they cant find anything.

4. Thanks for the link.
I think his analysis of this one is pretty good too. I have always said that liberals who think that liberals are smarter than conservatives - aren't very smart.

11. I agree
If the difference between Kerry and Bush voters is only a couple of IQ points then the result could not possibly be statistically significant.

5. thats great!
that settles it for me: those who tried to "prove that bush voters" are actually dumber than kerry have got to be the "dumbest of all"...unless of course it was all a joke and i simply didnt get it (does that make me a dumber liberal?)

8. analysis is analysis....

a good one, whether it comes from hamas, bush, al jazeer or arutz sheva remains a "good one". Not liking the politics of the analyst has nothing to do with a good rational logical, point by point description of a subject.

one shouldn't judge a "book by its cover".....or its skin color...or its nationality......or its religion......

his analysts of "whos smarter" was very analytical of an incredibly stupid theory....initiated and supported by racist self centered, elite idiots.

10. be careful who you point that at
so what is that to say of desmond tutus trip? many didnt care to have him analyze the situation in gaza correct?

as far as this "hoax" agenda being pushed goes, the issue shouldnt be to squabble about whether israel shot missiles at the ambulance or not because who cares really? the IDF has unapologetically targeted ambulances in the past and come up with an excuse for it. what happened here? they ran out of good excuses? more to the point many civilians and civilian infrastructure was destroyed and nitpicking at this one case will not shine a light of innocence on the IDF this time.

btw, i have little interest in this whole absurd story but from what little ive seen it seems to be a "hoax".
