Jewish militants sentenced in terror plot

-- Three members of a Jewish terror group were sentenced Tuesday in connection with a plot to set off a bomb near a girls' school in an East Jerusalem neighborhood.

The Jerusalem District Court on Tuesday sentenced Shlomo Zeliger Dvir and Ofer Gamliel to 15 years in jail for attempted murder and illegal possession of arms in connection with the plot. Yarden Morag was given a lesser sentence of 12 years in jail because he cooperated with investigators.

The men were members of the Bat Ayin terror cell -- which the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports was named for the settlement where the men lived.
