Egypt says Hamas not allowing wounded to leave Gaza |
|
Now, why would Hamas prevent (their political pawns) from getting medical treatment in Egypt?
RAFAH, Egypt (AFP) — Egypt on Sunday blamed Hamas for not letting hundreds of Palestinians wounded by Israeli air strikes leave the Gaza Strip for treatment, with dozens of empty ambulances waiting on the border.
More than 270 Palestinians have been killed and 600 wounded since Israel began hammering the Gaza Strip with air strikes on Saturday, but no wounded have yet left via Rafah, the Hamas-ruled territory's only Arab border crossing.
"No one has come in, we don't know why they're closed on the other side," a senior border security official told AFP. Several plane- and truck-loads of aid are also waiting to be allowed into the Gaza Strip, a security official said.
"The wounded are barred from crossing" into Egypt, Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit said in Cairo, blaming "those who control Gaza. We are waiting for the wounded to cross."

10. This is the quote from the Reuters link |
|
We are waiting for the wounded Palestinians to cross. They are not being allowed to cross," he told reporters. Asked who was to blame, he said: "Ask the party in control on the ground in Gaza." that could mean Hamas and that could mean the party dropping bombs

2. Why would Hamas not let their wounded leave? |
|
because it makes for good propaganda somehow to claim that they are being treated with bandaids?

I don't understand your question. I was just saying I googled Rafah and gots hits about bombing in Rafah, but nothing about the crossing.
Edit: ah, now I see, I'm running on another track.

If you did you would get numerous hits from a wide variety of news agencies.

9. I'm not seeing anything from "Jihad Watch" come up |
|
I just typed exactly what you wrote into Google. Here are the results:
Yahoo news is the first entry. Then aawsat.com. Then Echoroukonline. Then Google news. Then nasdaq.com, Africasia.com, metimes.com, blnz.com, thefreelbrary.com, and France24.com.
Those are the hits that come up on the first page.
Not seeing "Jihad Watch"

21. Face it. Egypt doesn't like Hamas any more than we do. |
|
But they dare not say it too loudly. Hamas is trouble. If Israel stops Hamas, it's easier for everyone in the Middle East. It is unfortunate that innocent people are caught in the crossfire, but Hamas is, I repeat, trouble.

Hamas is an off-shoot of the 'Moslem Brotherhood' movement, to which the Egyptian government has been quite hostile, from the days of King Farouk through the regime of Col. Nasser and on to his present day successor.

18. Hamas has invested millions in the PR position that they're a social services based... |
|
organization...they are not. They are a militant political organization with stated intent to attack at times of their choosing the state of Israel. Pretending to a social services organization; they cannot be seen not caring for the political pawns, and canon/rocket fodder who's lives that have hijacked. So Hamas denies their wounded crossings

23. That's totally incorrect... |
|
Hamas is an organisation with a military arm and one which supplies social services. Academics who study Islamist groups and know far more than you obviously do have written a lot about this, so would you like me to get you some info on it? Or are we supposed to take yr word that the hospitals, schools and welfare system Hamas has had in place for many years is a figment of our imaginations?

29. Not totally, by your position Israel having "hospitals, schools and welfare system" qualifies her... |
|
as well for civilized status. So what's the problem? Which faction within Hamas do you suppose turns it's blind eye to the rockets? The military side? Or the "hospitals, schools and welfare system" side? Does the one side even know what the other is doing? There's clearly a huge disconnect, Israel's not the only contributor to it. As an elected leader of people, Hamas now has some understanding to partake of. If I were Hamas, the elected leader of a people, I would not be sending them with rinky dink rockets to provoke my adversary. Nor members of my military wing to provoke without warning my otherwise innocent people they may be bombed as a result of my less-than-thought-out political/military designs. Some of these things are as plain as day.

19. Now why would you blindly believe what Egypt says all of a sudden? |
|
After all, you never have in the past, what with them being such a horrifying abuser of human rights, blah blah blah. Why do you care less about who lets injured Palestinians into another country, seeing as how you've been so totally opposed to Israel allowing sick Palestinians into Israel? Most importantly, why are you suddenly pretending to care less about injured Palestinians when you've said such ugly and hateful things about them in the past?

22. You delight in the murder of those in Gaza, |
|
and you support the monsters who have deprived Gaza of medical supplies (and food and so on) yet you are "concerned" about the fact the survivors have difficulty escaping across aborder to another country. Oh, my, aren't you a compassionate soul? Your hatred of the Palestinians is apparent in every post you make. Maybe you can buy a heart on eBay, if you ever feel inclined to want one.
