Thought Police At Work

Norman Finkelstein spoke at several universities in Canada in late October 2003. The following email was circulated by his detractors.

>From: "newzionistpartnership"
>Reply-To: YoungZionistPartnership-owner@yahoogroups.com
>To: YoungZionistPartnership@yahoogroups.com
>Subject: Norman Finkelstein: THE PLAN
>Date: Fri, 24 Oct 2003 21:17:22 -0000
>
>
>As everyone is by now aware, well-known anti-Israel professor Norman
>Finkelstein will be lecturing at York this Wednesday. Many students
>have been asking YZP how we should deal with this event.
>
>After extensive consultations with experts in the field (CJC's Len
>Rudner, who has been following Norman for years), as well as
>students across the country who have already been subject to
>Finkelstein's presence (Waterloo, Western), the YZP has devised a
>carefully thought-out plan that requires all students' support.
>
>The plan is: nothing.
>
>SPHR's purpose in bringing Finkelstein is to spread his views on
>campus. Due to some backroom maneouvering by YZP, the only room that
>was available for Finkelstein to lecture in was the basement of
>Winters College, a building I have never heard of in 3 years at
>York. He is speaking at night, and tickets cost money. All of this
>works in our favour, and it is clear that the vast majority of the
>200-300 observers will be Arabs or Arab sympathizers, not ordinary
>students.
