IDF struggles to neutralize Hezbollah bombs
<snip>

The process proved more difficult than anticipated, and by nightfall, only three of the bombs had been dealt with. At first, sappers tried to detonate the bombs electronically, but that failed. Sniffer dogs and robots, therefore, had to be sent in to determine the bombs' exact location so that IDF snipers could set them off by firing at them. Even so, it took 20 minutes of steady firing to get three of the bombs to explode, and the other five never went off at all - apparently because the sniper fire had severed the cables connecting them to their fellows. Additional fire at the remaining bombs failed to set them off.

<snip>

The army is at a loss for explanations as to why the northern border is suddenly heating up just as the prisoner swap with Hezbollah seems to be gaining steam. It is particularly worrisome, IDF sources said, that Hezbollah seems to be expanding its anti-Israel operations beyond the Har Dov region, to which it had until now largely confined them. The bombs were not in the Har Dov area.

BAHAHAHAHAH!!!

They are completely mystified!

Israel has just been sitting there being completely peaceful and rational other than overflying Beirut every week or so and sonic booming the residents. They can't figure it out though. God knows if any plane at all much less a fighter violated Israeli airspace they had better have made peace with God first but the IDF is at a loss to figure this bomb out.

I also like the location of the bomb. It wasn't in Har Dov. Cool! Was it in Toledo? Bangkok? You know it was somewhere in either the Golan or Lebanon itself because if that bomb was on the other side of the armistace line the article would be screaming it and the Butcher of Beirut would be ramping up the war machine to have another adventure up north.

3. More Hizbullah mines discovered
Three more explosive devices were discovered near Kibutz Ma'ayan Baruch near the Lebanese border and exploded in a controlled detonation by IDF forces Friday.

The discovery was made only hours before Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah said that, regardless of the Israeli cabinet's decision on the prisoner exchange deal, the Lebanese prisoners – including Sheikh Omar Karim Obeid and Mustafa Dirani – will be released to their homes "in one way or another."

The juxtaposition of both events gave rise to estimations that the explosives were planted in an attempt to abduct soldiers, just as St.-Sgts. Benny Avraham, Adi Avitan, and Omar Sawayid were abducted three years ago.

4. So what's your point here FBB?

Do you have something to say or do you just think we need to read a newspaper in little bits and pieces scattered over a BBS?

6. Well,
just trying to give you 'P' part of the I/P equasion some news from the 'I' part. No point other than to try to get some empathy going. I see that is futile.
