Arafat: Israel Has Right to Live in Peace
RAMALLAH, West Bank Nov. 12 — Yasser Arafat on Wednesday called for an end to three years of violence, saying that Israel has a right to live in peace as his legislature prepared to approve the new Palestinian Cabinet.

Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia also called for an immediate and comprehensive cease-fire with Israel and a return to peace talks based on President Bush's vision for two states.

Qureia issued the call at a parliament session at which he was expected to win approval for his new Cabinet.

"Our fate is to live together on this land for us and our dreams, for our sons and grandsons ... instead of violence and terrorism," Qureia said.

2. Oh yeah
and we should trust Sharon. Occupation is temporary, settlements are temporary, the fence and land grabbing is all just temporary. As it has been the last 3 decades, all right

his thugs do the IDF's job like any good 5th column would.. and it's still never enough. Why should the quislings even bother if their pandering embarassment just goes unappreciated?

every time that lying weasel mentions the word peace he is on the losing end of something and as soon as he gets an ok he starts another round of murders.

Believe Arafat once, shame on him, believe Arafat twice shame on you.

8. back and forth
of course the double standard held by both of these completely insane cultures is the reason why the rest of the world wishes both of them would just fall off of the earth.

13. Well no kidding
And I truly doubt the poster literally wants that.I don't myself, but the sentiment that people have had enough of this back and forth dueling atrocities is real. Both sides need to grow up and break this suicidal dance with each other.

The refrain,"A pox on both their houses" comes to mind, and that sentiment I agree with.I'm sick of both sides using the others bs to justify their own bs.
