Jordan's King Says Israel-Hezbollah-Lebanon War May Be "Imminent"
http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/04/14/jordans_king_says_israel-hezbollah-lebanon_war_may/

By Steve Clemons - April 14, 2010, 3:42PM
Congressman Adam Schiff hosted a "Members Only" meeting of the 'Congressional Friends of Jordan Caucus' in the US House of Representatives this morning in the CVC Congressional Meeting Room with Jordan's King Abdullah II.

According to one attendee in the session, "the King's message was sobering." King Abdullah seemed significantly concerned that conflict was about to break out again between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

One congressional source told me that the word the King used was 'imminent' with regard to the potential outbreak of war.

1. Interesting. Why now?
And I'm sure that nothing he's done could be provoking tensions.

Nobody would feel desperate having his citizenship in the nation of his birth revoked because of his ancestry.

2. Congressional Friends of Jordan Caucus
Congressional Friends of Jordan Caucus Launched

WASHINGTON, March 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- At a lunch today with
Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al-Abdullah and His
Highness Prince Zeid Raad, Representatives Adam Schiff (D-CA), Charles
Boustany (R-LA), Brian Baird (D-WA) and Jeff Fortenberry (R-NE) announced
the formation of the Congressional Friends of Jordan Caucus.

For decades, the United States and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan have
been allies and friends. The new bipartisan caucus seeks to strengthen
bilateral relations between Jordan and the US. The caucus will be
co-chaired by Congressmen Schiff and Boustany, and Congressmen Baird and
Fortenberry (R-NE) will serve as vice-chairs.

"We have great appreciation for the friendship and solidarity that our
good friends in the US have shown us," said His Majesty King Abdullah II.
"The strength of our partnership is nowhere better reflected than during my
meetings in the chambers of the US Congress."

"It was an honour and pleasure to meet with Their Majesties King
Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al-Abdullah today, and I appreciate their
commitment to the close friendship between our nations," Schiff said. "I
also want to thank them for their support of this new caucus, and I look
forward to finding ways to work together with Jordan to advance our shared
interests and build on our relationship."

4. Very unlikely as long as Bibi is in power
Most commentators neglect to notice that Netanyahoo, for all of his quite noxious traits in other aspects, is traditionally and currently one of the zionist regime's least-warlike Premiers. A new war is far more likely if his shaky coalition were to fall from power. The bloody hypocrites in Labor or (the likud splinter group whose name escapes me at this moment) are more prone to feel the need to beef up their "street credibility" by picking a fight. However, in this case it would carry a serious punishment.

The Islamic Resistance is militarily stronger now than it has ever been, and this situation is bolstered by the equally strong position Hizbu'llah currently holds in Lebanese politics. None of the other Shiite or leftist parties could (or would, really) question their hegemony in the South; the Christians in the dominant Free Patriotic Movement (comprised of a majority of both the Maronites and Greek Orthodox, in spite of what Aoun's nemesis Patriarch Sfeir would like to admit) largely support the Resistance wholeheartedly, and the remaining maronites under the Shamoun, Gaegea, and Gemayyal dynasties are, while quite militant, too marginalized to matter; the Druze warlord (and delusional nutjob extraordinaire) Jumblatt supports Hizbu'llah this week, though I would watch the weather reports to see where that might turn in the future; Hariri the Lesser and the Sunnis, when they're not taking Saudi Prince Muqrin's money and swearing oaths of allegience to Sheikh Ussamah, are too busy begging Assad the Lesser for acceptance to make a difference either.

Further, I believe reports that the Resistance has obtained "scud" and other medium-range missiles are true; this indeed heightens the stakes and emphasizes the great possibility of very real consequence should the zionist politicians feel the desire to go off adventuring again.

King Playstation and Queen Youtube should be worried more about the activities of their own regime and the criminally brutal tactics his US/Israeli-backed government and army commit daily while lifting not a finger to relieve Palestinians under the occupation of his ally.
