Turkey will "never forgive" Israel, is the title on al jazeera. The Turkish president has said that Israel's military raid on civilian aid ships bound for the Gaza Strip has caused "irreparable" damage to his country's relations with Israel, and will "never" be forgiven. "From now on, Turkish-Israeli ties will never be the same. This incident has left an irreparable and deep scar," Abdullah Gul said in a televised speech on Thursday, as thousands gathered in the streets of Istanbul to pay their respects to the humanitarian activists killed during the raid. The raid "is not an issue that can be forgotten... or be covered up... Turkey will never forgive this attack," he said.al jazeera, http://english.aljazeera.net/news/europe/2010/06/20106312530449379.htmlbbc titles: Emotion high as Turkey buries its Gaza flotilla deadEmotions are running high in Turkey at funerals for nine activists, all Turkish or of Turkish origin, killed in Israel's raid on the Gaza aid flotilla. ... what the Ottomans did.
I don't mean to muddy the waters , it just struck me as unjust to never forgive Israel while you are not admitting a crime that affected the lives of millions more of people.
Cool humane heads must prevail .
