An IDF deputy company commander was ousted from his position and sentenced to 14 days in a military prison for behaving in an unbecoming manner towards a group of Palestinians.
The officer on operational duty together with other forces several weeks ago threw a stun grenade at a group of Palestinian youth gathered at the side of a road near the community Carmel in the southern Hebron Hills. No one was wounded in the incident.
The military court also sentenced an IDF soldier to 35 days in prison for kicking a Palestinian after an argument broke out between the two near the security fence close to Kalkilya.
The soldier's commander was confined to the base for 28 days for being indirectly responsible for the soldier's actions.
Describing the incidents as extremely serious, a statement issued by the IDF Spokesman said the army makes a clear distinction between terrorists and their dispatchers and members of the Palestinian public not involved in terrorist activities.

Again, we witness the standards and morality of the IDF. Abuse of civilians is not tolerated. All the while Palestinian militants would murder Israel's children. Oh, my.
