Palestinian woman beaten for refusing to explode
A Palestinian woman arrived at the Tarkomiya checkpoint and complained to soldiers that she had been beaten by 4 Hamas terrorists for refusing to serve as a suicide bomber.

The terrorists then escaped in the direction of Kiryat Gat. Southern command police are presently searching for the perpetrators.

4. And, if they don't,
are we going to hear about what a vile terrorist group the IDF is.

Yet, if they do, we are going to hear about what a vile terrorist group the IDF is.

nu?

5. So what did this woman do wrong
besides "refusing to blow up" as that beacon of objectivity puts it?

26. Oh, please!
She's a "poor woman" when you can employ her for propaganda purposes. If she would've been killed by the IDF or by settlers, she would have been just another faceless Arab, and you wouldn't have said a thing.

6. Possible
Just one more reason Hamas should cease to exist, if true.

Doubtful, though. Hamas has no shortage of people who want to serve as suicide bombers, and doesn't use female bombers.

9. AGREE...
"Just one more reason Hamas should cease to exist, if true."

NOW, a simple question...

For 100 points and the lead....

WHO SHOULD SEE TO IT THAT "HAMAS SHOULD CEASE TO
EXIST"??

A. THE PA/PLO (Who have never taken on hamas and has stated it wont)

B. The Pal.Population (despite their overwhelming support of terrorism)

C. The UN (in between re-victimizing the state of Israel)

D. The IDF

(cue in jeopardy theme song)

11. None of the above.
A. THE PA/PLO (Who have never taken on hamas and has stated it wont)

Of course not. It would provoke civil war at this point.

B. The Pal.Population (despite their overwhelming support of terrorism)

Only around 60 percent. And the majority also support a mutual ceasefire.

C. The UN (in between re-victimizing the state of Israel)

What could the UN do? How would peacekeeping troops prevent suicide attacks?

D. The IDF

Certainly not. This will result in more suicide bombings. It will also create more support for Hamas among the Palestinian population.

I don't think that anyone should see to it that Hamas ceases to exist as a political organization -- and I do believe that Hamas can be persuaded to exist as a purely political organization.

Understand, though, that Hamas' tactics isn't the only thing that bothers me. I'm not too keen on the whole theocracy idea, either.

12. Correcting your answers
A. THE PA/PLO (Who have never taken on hamas and has stated it wont)

I couldn't care less if it would provoke civil war. That war will have to be fought sooner or later.

B. The Pal.Population (despite their overwhelming support of terrorism)

Funny, surveys show more like 75%.

C. The UN (in between re-victimizing the state of Israel)

I agree, the UN is useless.

D. The IDF

So, would you have Israel just ignore them and let more Israelis die?

13. You don't care
if a civil war starts? So you don't care about Palestinians lives after all and as far as you're concerned they could all kill each other. It would be much more comfortable for Israel hey, being an ethnically pure state...

18. Reasons
For the Palestinians to ever have a state, they will have to have only one group (their leadership) that is able to execute foreign policy. Part of that is indeed the ability to exercise military force. Right now, there are several groups claiming to represent the Palestinians. As long as several make that claim, none truly represent the Palestinians SOLELY.

So if Arafat or whoever wishes to run things, they need to shut down the terror groups for their own leadership.

If they can do that peaceably, more power to them. I doubt they can.

And, btw, Israel is FAR from being an ethnically pure state. There are numerous Arabs and people from around the world. There are also many people from different religions as well.

Check your facts next time.

19. Warmth not heat
I don't wish a civil war on them, but I believe it inevitible for one group to come out on top. Which group that will be is a big question mark.

I get all the many terrorist groups mixed up, so please provide links to prove that Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigade is the only one that provides female suicide bombers.

Thank you.

Scroll down to the section on the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades.

Excerpt:

"The al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades' first suicide bombing attack involved a tactic that guaranteed wide attention: the use of a female suicide bomber, Wafa'Idris. Since then, the al-Aqsa Brigades have explicitly differentiated themselves from Hamas and Islamic Jihad in their acceptance of female bombers."
