"The death toll of the Palestinians killed in the West Bank and Gaza Strip within 38 months totaled 3,835, among were 522 children, 166 women and 211 were killed by the assassination attacks perpetrated by the Israeli occupying forces.

Ever since September 28, 2000 up till November 2003, the losses were; 25 medics, eight journalists as well as 22 others, including 14 inside the "Green Line", two in south Lebanon, two Egyptians, an American and a British were killed by the Israeli occupation.


In a report prepared by the Palestinian National Information Center (PNIC) of the State Information Service (SIS) in Gaza, it revealed that the year 2002 was the deadliest year of the three year-old Al Aqsa Intifada; the death toll was 751 in the West Bank and 497 in Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, the number amounted in West Bank and Gaza Strip 191, 127 respectively in 2000 while the number was 342, 249 respectively in Gaza strip and West Bank in 2001, whereas in 2003, the killed Palestinians totaled 263, 393 resoectively in West Bank and Gaza Strip."
