This post was locked on the israel/palestinian affairs forum because "Not based on a recent news or op-ed piece.", However wasnt explained where would be fit to post this item. Then i tried to post it on the General Affairs forum, but i really think that misses the point of having a dedicated forum for israel/palestine affairs. I hope that since it is an historical issue, even if not based on recent news this forum is still the better suited (or even better, that Mods explain why such item would be felt innapropiate)

The question initially was this:

this day they have been in their homeland. The are true stories about zionists of the 1890-1920's being terrorists - and there are stories of arabs on the early 1800's through 1948 being terrorists.

I know (or i Think i know) that palestinians and jews esentially cohabitated pacifically until 1950, but that dramatically changed after the declaration of the Zionist state. Hence my initial question, since i want to know what other people think/feel about this period of history

2. This is a loaded, incorrect question:

You are assuming that the Jews who moved to Israel between 1900 to 1950 had no right to do what they did. Besides, everyone knows that no one was living in Israel pre-1950 except a VAST Jewsih majority and a few roaming Bedouin nomads. Jerusalem was an empty slum...there were no "Palestinians" only random passer-by on their way to Egypt. (There may have been an Arab rug-salesman named Mohammad, but he moved to NYC and drives a cab now.)
The few that were there "voluntarily" moved away. Don't you know anything about history?

The person should know after reading that

"cohabitated pacifically until 1950" was not true - Arabs killing Jews was common - albeit not as bad as the practice was in Europe/Russia

Jews killing Arabs was not common

and of course "voluntary" is in quotes because while many, perhaps most, moved out in 48 voluntarily - there were many who were shoved out and even had the neighbors bring buses in to help them on their way.

I am curious as to Jewish terrorist post 1950 in the area of Israel chasing Arabs - I have not heard of such - and I was an adult in this time frame and following the activities.
