Israeli soldiers are undergoing crash courses in Zionism.
On Tuesday, the army said its Education Corps had been authorized to inculcate Zionism and other Jewish values in courses throughout the armed services. The Israeli army’s chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Moshe Ya’alon, said the initiative would boost morale and fight apathy among soldiers. “Many of the youths conscripted into the Israel Defense Forces come with a weak or incomplete ‘anchor’ of Zionist values,” he told the Yediot Achronot daily. “Instead of a sense of belonging and national identity, this often breeds ignorance and cynicism.”

Well done. Perhaps this would have prevented some of the traitors from refusing to serve in the disputed territories.

1. One one hand, i agree; on another, israel can go it alone
Zionism as the contemporary idea of preserving the Israeli state or Zionism as the Gush Emunim idea of cleansing the West Bank and dynamiting the al-Aqsa mosque (Dome of the Rock) to make way for the new Temple?

Zionism as preserving the Israeli state-more power to them.

Zionism as the Gush idea of it-you want to go terrorist, you go it alone.

2. Perhaps, they should attach teachers directly to the unit.
To ensure that proper Zionist principles are taught and followed by the soldiers and thier officers.
We can call them 'Commisars'.

(uninportant footnote: I'm not sure if Zionist is supposed to be capitalized, so I did. If anyone knows, please tell me.)
