Court cuts sentence of woman convicted of aiding bomber
The Supreme Court on Monday commuted the sentence of a Holon resident convicted of aiding and abetting Palestinian Zeid Kiliani in attempted murder, planting an explosive device and carrying an illegal weapon.

The three justices decided to cut Angelica Yosepov's sentence from 18 years to 12 years.

Kiliani, a resident of the West Bank city of Jenin, stabbed a police officer at the Carmel market in Tel Aviv, planted an explosive device in Allenby Street in Tel Aviv and killed one person and wounded several others with a bomb he set off in a taxi at the Mei Ami junction in March 2001.

The 23-year-old Holon resident immigrated to Israel from the former Soviet Union in 1990. She met Kiliani in 2000 while he was illegally residing in Israel. He crossed into Israel again in February 2001 armed with explosives and a pistol. Yosepov picked him up and witnesses him attempting to carry out two attacks in Tel Aviv. In both cases, neither of the devices went off.
