"Police investigating a suspected Jewish terrorist cell operating in the Haifa area arrested on Saturday an additional suspect, a 21-year-old soldier from Ramat Hasharon.

The soldier, Avinoam Sternheim, was detained upon his return from a holiday abroad.

The Haifa Magistrates Court on Saturday decided to place Sternheim under house arrest at the artillery base where he is stationed, saying there was not enough evidence to justify extending his remand.

Another supsect in the affair, Alexander Rabinovitch, apparently gave Sternheim's name to the police."
