Speaking in the White House Rose Garden after their meeting, Bush offered his typically effusive view of international relations with the United States.
"Your majesty, I'm proud you're here," Bush told Abdullah. "I appreciate you coming. Jordan is a friend of the United States, and friends look out for one another.""
I think it's nice that they are closer. They must be so pleased about that. But I think it's a shame that they are not eye to eye. That is sad.
