The United Nations General Assembly vote on the separation fence that was scheduled for Monday will likely be postponed until Tuesday due to the Arab representatives' difficulty in securing European support.



The resolution calls for the adoption of the recent non-binding ruling of the International Court of Justice, which declared that the separation fence is illegal and called on the government to compensate Palestinians whose land was taken for construction of the fence.

Earlier Monday, Justice Minister Yosef Lapid warned that Israel is on the verge of becoming an international pariah and urged the government not to ignore the International Court of Justice.

"The Hague court, groups like Amnesty, and United Nations committees, act as a kind of global high court that, while they do not have to be liked, cannot be ignored," said Lapid.
