Israel can not militarily fight its way out of this. But the Israelis can create scores more martyrs to replace the ones they do kill.
I guess things have gone too far for this to matter to the generation making the decisions.

Halifi and two aides, Yamen Abu al-Hassan and Amjad Husni, died when a missile destroyed their car in the center of Jenin, a hotbed of terrorism.

Halifi was chief deputy to Zakaria Zubeidi, the Al Aqsa chief in Jenin."
