Saudis block sale of Israeli products
Officials in Saudi Arabia are claiming they succeeded in blocking attempts by 12 Israeli companies to sell their products there under the guise of foreign labels, the Gulf News reports.

Saudi Arabia continues to adhere to the Arab League's decades-old boycott of Israel, and bars the import or sale of items made here.

In a statement issued by the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, officials said they had warned local chambers and merchants throughout the country to be wary of Israeli firms seeking to circumvent the boycott's restrictions.

"The companies listed are active in the production of bulletproof jackets, paints, water purification equipment, electronics, telephones, reinforced doors, textiles, fuel, and other goods," the statement said, though no names of the firms said to be involved were provided.

1. If * planned to nuke the entire Middle East...
then I might actually be inclined to go along with it. I think the whole world is sick of the Arab/Israeli thing. Get rid of all of them.

4. if the whole world is sick of the Arab/Israeli thing,..
then instead of "nuking the enire Middle East" or "getting rid of all of them" (I thought only right wing nutjobs said things like that), the world should just go obsess about something else for a change, say like Darfur or the Ivory Coast...

2. I can believe it.When I was in that country I think it was Fords
that could not come in as they sold to the wrong countries. Well every mag. was checked over and any women with clothing they did not like were marked over. All 'wrong' items cut out. Must have been a fun job with your black marker each day. They also checked books to be sure none were by a Jew.I frankly do not know how my husband and I got in. We have a long German like name and most of the people in the Southern US used to call us Jews, but SA thought it was an Am. Name. So much for guessing who people are by the name. Lets move on to religion and really do it like the Middle Ages.
